The force of air blowing past at 100 to 120 MPH is a LOT. When we shoot oblique angle photos from our Cessna 182 we take the screw out of the slider bar, and that allows the window to open all the way up. The wind holds the window up against the wing. To get the window back down requires me to stick my entire arm out the window to grab the latch. It takes a lot of strength to hold my arm still and grab the latch to lower the window flying along at 110 knots. The camera weighs 7 pounds, and we always have a strap around our neck. and we only stick the end of the lens out there.
