She will not be excluded from any school for too high an SAT/ACT, GPA and class rank...but many schools and scholarships will rely heavily on these.
My daughter had tons of scholarships, both for undergrad and grad school (actually was able to bank money in college and had $20K in the bank when she graduated)...but she struggled to get into med schools to use those scholarships due to an average MCAT. Always take care of objective things before subjective ones. Often, subjective scores are overlooked, but objective ones are rarely.
I worked in admissions at a major school and was responsible for the award of many hundreds of full ride (and lesser) scholarships. Not one was ever below our floor for objective scores (SAT/ACT and GPA). Class rank helped/followed (to show if GPA was simply due to an easy-grading school/school system). AP courses are nice, but not at the expense of other courses or GPA.

Some are born free. Some have freedom thrust upon them. Others simply surrender
