jack the back of the car up.
place a pan under one side of the engine under the valve cover.
remove the valve cover.
not much will come out, but then I never fill mine completely.
then do the other side.
just leave the pan under there while doing the valves
one thing that can help is don't let the car sit for several days as more oil will drain back into the engine.
