I think it does have some structural use. They used to bond and rivet race cars. What about that?? Glue and rivet? It will play hell on your resale but I think it would work. and You could remove it for access - nice. I recently replaced similar panels in my car, I just needed some smaller sections. I bought them from a wreck mail order. I have seen the panels available out of post 76 cars on the board a few times. Might try a WTB add. If its just a hot rod like mine - go for it. I think the flat panels look trick.
