Known as JP's in pool jargon...joint protectors. Used to keep dirt and debris out of the joint as well as protect the pin if cue is dropped. Screwed into the shafts and cue butt unless the cue is together. Two with male threads for the shafts, one heads, one tails, so I can glance in the case and identify which shaft with which shaft tip. (one medium tip, one soft) The female thread (heads) goes onto the Butt. Ring colors and wood colors match my cue. Had them made a bit concave for better grip when removing from the case.

I'd cry more if my cues were stolen than my car. Why? I could buy another car tomorrow. Keith Josey, the guy who made my playing cue, now has a two years long waiting list. At 76, I shouldn't buy green bananas...might not have the time it would take for Keith to build another cue for me.
