When I was in high school I used to try my hand at pool but never got great at it. I did win a few things like this ladies sweat shirt at the SEAL bar in Coronado CA and she had nothing under it so we both got kicked out! Anyways we had a shooter in my home town in Delaware and his name was Charlie Loper and he only shot straight pool, no 9 ball, 8 ball, ETC. He would play for $25 per point and usually went to whoever got to 500 points first won, cash only. He would take "Bennies" and could play for 3 or 4 days straight w/o stopping! He used to say those pills made the pockets look as big as a peach basket! This was in '63 and '64 and then I went into the Navy. I heard he had a heart attack during a game and died?
