I took ranitidine and it didn’t help me at all. I take pro tonic and I can eat anything no prob now. I took omeprazole years ago but had to stop because I had a kidney transplant and it could damage the transplanted kidney supposedly.
Good luck because it is a life altering issue and I feel for you son
