The DEF modern diesel issue is probably why Ford is building a new 7.3L gasser for its big pickups and commercial line. Having owned four Ford diesels I switched to an F150 so as to not pay the huge mark up on the Diesel engine and the diesel specific issues in CA. My buddy works on Tugs in LA Harbor and they have nothing but problems with their "CA compliant" diesels, no matter what manufacturer.
