My suggestion is eat as clean as possible (mostly plants) and eat big early in the day. Best for me not to eat after 3 or 4 pm. Go to bed on an empty stomach. The other advice is to elevate his bed at least 4" at the headboard. Early dinners and an inclined bed has been a game changer for me...

I've been trying to get him to eat several smaller meals and avoid snacks after dinner but he's a teen so he listens to everything his parents say.
Last year when he was diagnosed we bought him a queen size wedge designed for people with GERD that goes under the mattress. He has done well but has had two really bad flareups in the last few months. We're trying to impress upon him the need to stay vigilant and take his daily pill... but again he's a teen so...
Thanks for all the advice.
