Ok, without typing a novel... Like mentioned below its a 1984 Cabrio for the US/Cdn market.
Your VIN from the trunk: WPOZZZ91ZES170298 was stamp before they knew where the car was going. All the Z's are just fillers.
The North America version VIN normally found on the pillar & door jam would have been: WPOEBO91CES170298
E: Targa or Cabrio
B: Engine Type for US/Cdn market
O: Seatbelt only (no air bag)
C: A checksum letter or number use to validate the VIN
