Interesting point. How much of what we like is the memory vs the actual thing? 67 mustang sounds good until it gets 12mph, have horrible steering, wallows around corners or rides so hard you can stand more then 30min at a time. Where is the bluetooth!? Compared to a modern car with all the bells and whistles yet none of the character/memories we were looking for. We each make that choice.
