On the flip side:
About 35 years ago, I was training a driver to take over a milk delivery route for the summer. I had tried training a couple of people who were just not interested in working, but then was given a trainee who was determined to get 'er done. He was sharp and eager to learn. Come Friday, the boss called me into the office and advised me we couldn't hire him. The reason was , he couldn't be bonded. He had just got out of prison.
I guess there are exceptions to every rule/case. I have met lots of people in the decades since who should have gone to prison, but managed to avoid it. I don't know what happened to the guy after that. I hope he made it.
