Opinions are, as they say like *******S, that is, everyone's got one! I'll give you mine.
I've kept my cab now for exactly 20 years. On one hand, though I couldn't afford one then, I was conditioned to love the cab (slant nose or not) if it were 930 as a college student in OC CA in the mid to late 80s. One the other hand, in 1999 by coincidence I acquired a Ruf BTR III which was MY 89 and done out by Ruf with 964 Turbo body and 6 speed (no slant). Moreover, it is still yellow like the yellowbird, a color I liked. I guess all those bells and whistles sold me on this cab.
It's intriguing, fast enough for a street car and I can still see the sun or the moon sky! On a nice day, or night I might even think I'm still living in God's Country, Orange County CA. I'll need to get it running first! HA!
