I have had dozens and dozens of G50 flywheels resurfaced over the years and never had a problem. As John Walker pointed out this a step flywheel and must be machined the same amount on the pressure plate step that the friction surface is machined.
IMO the OP's clutch disengagement problem is not due to the flywheel being resurfaced.
