I think you are, I will agree I am tired of the tidy sitcom 30 minute problem arises, problem solved format.
I would prefer more of a game of thrones complex format where it takes some time to get in sync with all the characters etc...
Except, this series is 10X better than the last additions of Stars Wars. (Rogue One excluded)
So my thirsty ass will take what I can get.
