I'm not a motorcycle guy. I'm sure I could be, but I've never piloted a bike and I've only ridden one as a passenger once. I'm pretty sure I'd love it, but honestly, I don't really trust myself, and I ESPECIALLY don't trust the other drivers in Houston (worst drivers of anywhere that I've ever been).

There's a guy that lives near me that is clearly very much into bikes. I think he's probably got at least half a dozen. One or maybe two of them are the best sounding bikes I've ever heard. They almost sound like highly tuned car motors to me, almost like small displacement, low rotating mass race cars. They really are heaven.

Tonight I was walking the dog past his house just as he was getting home on one of them. It was an Aprilia Tuono V4 with an aftermarket exhaust. He says he just got it and the exhaust is aftermarket and too loud so he doesn't like to drive it through the neighborhood.

They both make me wish I was a motorcycle guy, but I'm glad that I'm not.
