^That's gorgeous, looks like movie special effects^
Today was one of my best Christmas's ever!
My Son's home after 3 months in Europe and since it was sunny and 40 degrees here North of Seattle he suggested we give ourselves a gift and go out for a street bike ride... we've covered 100's of miles together on dirt bikes but this is the first time there have been 2 running street machines here and first time riding on the street together.
Our steeds were a 1973 Honda CB350F and a 1971 Triumph Bonneville T120 with a '66 650cc motor.
My Son wanted to ride the 350, I was good with that since I've got 50 lbs on him.
We were only out terrorizing the neighborhood, local 55 MPH 2 lane highway, the airport area and local back roads for about an hour and a half, but it kept a smile on my face for many hours after.
The 2 bikes are night and day from each other... the 350 is trusty, pulls smoothly to 10K red line, shifts perfectly through 5 closely spaced gears on the left and has a true 2 finger front disc... and is running out of gumption at 60.
The Bonnie pulls like mad from idle to 4500-5000 and surges with torque every shift with a very tall and clunky 4 speed shifted on the right. The front brake on it is a dual shoe that takes between 4 and 9 fingers to entice it to stop quickly, she also attempts to rattle something off every time out. The Bonnie is running great! She pulls hard to 80 and leaves the 350 smartly behind... it will putt uphill in 4th at 30 mph and still pull well if needed.
Man that was fun!!!!
So good to spend time with my Son!!
Aaron about to test a clutch adjustment and pointing out the bike is running on it's own:
