People don't always get as excited about 914's as they should. I bought a car a few years ago built by Garretson, ran IMSA, even won at Mid-Ohio, paid $15,000, it was even pictured in a book. No, it's not
that 914 that they won IMSA with, this car was the next year.
Personally, I love 914's, really fun to drive and many did compete on real levels on the track, but people tend not to want to pay for them, even with provenance.
On another note, I got to look at a friend's 904 the other day that was an ex-Duval car. My friend paid $10,000 for the car in 76, those were the days!
