Aveeno Eczema care works well for me.
I sand down the thickness of the skin around a crack to give it a better chance of healing.
Reducing the thickness of the skin really seems to help. You can remove your fingerprints at the same time...
I also have a can of bag balm and will put some on and cover with gloves for a while.
