Nephew's kid evidently is not a smart person. He bagged all the leaves from my yard over Christmas break. He just raked and bagged them. If he would have mowed them it would have chopped them up and used a LOT less bags and taken less time. He filled 85 trash bags. When I did it myself I never got over 30 bags of mowed up leaves.

You just can't teach kid's that won't listen. Then they wonder why you don't think they are very smart.

When I was his age and mowed yards, always edged first. Then my first thing with the mower was to go around the yard and "sweep" the timings from the edger. Never used a leaf blower. Didn't need it.

One rich guy even stayed home so he could watch me do his yard and see how I edged and trimmed his yard without filling his in-ground pool filter with grass trimmings.

Even though I've told them, the nephews kids still mow, then edge, then blow the edger trimmings all over the place. And it even took me less time because I did not have to go around with a leaf blower.
