If you think it will give you some happiness and you can afford it, why not? The only caution would be that the watch fashionistas who post here consider quartz watches pretty low in status. They seem to prefer a less expensive automatic over a more expensive quartz.
Personally, I prefer quartz for the accuracy. But I'm no fashionista. Here's what I've worn for over a decade now. USA name but really a Swiss quartz Hamilton Khaki. Easy for my aging eyes to read, tells me time, day of week, and date. The Hamilton name was bought by Swatch. Think it cost me around $200...battery every few years, easily replaced by a local jeweler. Leather band replaced by a more durable metal one.
For the rare "dressy thing", I can drag out a 1950's gold Lord Elgin.
