I bought a 2000 boxster a couple months ago, I have earlier air cools but wanted something to drive with more comfort. It had under 4,000 miles was in new condition, yes I paid more than 5,000 for it, but it is great. My Ram truck depreciated more in one year than what I paid for the boxster. I consider them a good buy, a good clean one at current prices. A Honda costs more.
