Sprinkle some water on the concrete. If it beads it is sealed, if it soaks in it isn't.
You can add color to sealant. I've done it with the powders they use for patterned concrete. Mica powders (sold for coloring epoxy) would likely work also. Try a spot first to make sure it is compatible with the existing sealer.
