It's been an interesting day of talking to the other driver's insurance, my insurance, and the body shop.
I viewed the frame damage today. Frame rails are minimally bent near the attachment point of the hitch and bumper support. Shop claims that Chrysler states that this can't be heated/straightened, that a replacement frame is the only option. I'm calling BS and seeking a second opinion tomorrow.
My insurance doesn't want to insure the vehicle unless it's "repaired by an authorized repair center", whatever that means.
Other driver's insurance is low-balling me on the vehicle valuation.
