Everyone is different....you'll figure it out. I had so much going on in my life that I could not (did not want to) get another pup when I put my beloved 14 yr old yellow Lab down. After I was ready, I almost opted for a blue heeler (didn't pan out), then thought I was getting a great GSD pup when suddenly that fell through a year ago. I went on a mission....I wanted a pup NOW....I love Labs, but a Golden would have been fantastic too. Found an awesome local breeder with a Chocolate available....
