Shaun, thanks.
It appears as if the only thing that a user can upgrade in a new iMac is the RAM, but considering that I can buy 32GB of Crucial RAM on Amazon for $160, but Apple would charge $200 for the 8 GB -> 16GB upgrade and $600 for the 8GB -> 32GB upgrade, that seems like the way to go!
