Had 16 inches of colon removed 20 years ago becuase was having diverticulitus. Learned to not eat and take Imodium if traveling of going to where a restroom was not going to be handy. Because, when you have to go, it's right now. Sometimes just 20 ft is too far to a toilet.
Recently, 3 months ago, had a car accident and the seat belt bruised and lacerated my core. From rib cage to upper thighs. Since then there are several foods especially milk I can no longer handle because they go right thru and reduce the gotta go warning to seconds if I get them at all.
And yes, it is very embarrassing to go places if not prepared. Sometimes a day in advance and sometimes just have to stay home.
Have also learned who had clean restrooms and who does not, and that a restroom does not have to be as clean as I once thought. The important thing is toilet paper! Those hand drier things don't help much.
