If they forged your signature on anything, they don't have "clean hands" in the eyes of the law. Pretty much a slam dunk. Gordon's lawyer friend did EXACTLY what should have been done. Actually, he could have done it one better and showed up with the local sheriff to retrieve his car without paying any bill.
