We have a Volvo C30 that had bad engine mounts. It would vibrate at low rpm. The diagnostic test I found online for an auto trans was to load the engine while the car is stationary with the throttle and apply the brake. Thus exaggerated the wobble so much that the engine “lifts” from the car. My son videoed the engine as I was testing it. After replacing the mounts all was good. Otherwise it can be tricky to know if the mounts are bad as the symptoms are vague.
