Arghhh!
Dang computers. Before the techs get her I was diking around with the network setting. My new computer has The latest Intel I219-V Gigabit Ethernet adapter, and it has a 5Gbps Ethernet onboard with up to 5X the bandwidth of standard gigabit Ethernet port. I can use either one and get the same speed. I then bridged them together. Same speed. The motherboard also has a WiFi adapter, and a cool looking antenna. It is the new Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200, which is compatible with 802.11ax.
If I add it to the bridge, it stops the network dead. My WiFi is slug slow, so I guess I will dump my old Apple Airport and get a new 802.11ax router. I see some that come with 6 Ethernet ports, so I could go to the two computers I have directly. Then that one more cable to the switch that runs my Tivo DVR and also the 4 camera security camera that runs Power over Ethernet to them. The cameras are just 10 Mbps units.
I guess I need to do research on good 802.11ax routers and find the right one for my use. The Apple router has been reliable, and has a good signal, but Apple does not support it anymore, so it is a orphan. No more Firmware updates for it. Apple does not love it anymore.
