Yep, dred when my Airport Extreme stops working. But won't look for new until it does because they keep improving wifi routers.

The JVC stereo i put in the Range Rover had wifi. It would connect to my wifi when I pulled into the garage. It also did 4.0 surround sound, and connect calls and played music from my phone. It didn't do carplay though.

Hope the stereo shop finishes my Cayenne today and it sounds decent. The Bose in my other Cayennes sounded decent, and the turbos had surround. However they would even play music from my iPhone let alone connect calls for hands free.

The head unit is a pioneer. Pioneer makes a 5.1 surround decoder amp. But they told me they would have to rewire all the speakers and that would make it very expensive. And I did not want to spend that much on a $6000 vehicle. Just wanted to get the sub box and amps out for the back of my SUV and still be able to do carplay for calls and texts.
