So I have been driving a 2005 MCS, JCW while my oldest son drives my Giulia Q4 Ti. I LOVE Cooper, and plan to give it to my younger son in a little over a year.

So I am wondering what will I replace the JCW with.

My current thinking is as follows:

2018 VW Golf R DSG (its just so much faster)

2005 STi IF, I can find a clean one (not likely)

2015-18 STi

I think the STi's would be the most fun to drive and a riot in winter. I think the Golf R is a bit more grown up and being mostly FWD a bit less fun vs the STi but has awesome tuning capability.

Focus RS has to many engine issues to consider. All the ST's are FWD which I really don't want. The Civic R is just to painful to look at.

So looking for your thoughts on this or any I have not considered.
