Today as I was moving across town on the way to one of my accounts I passed a corner where some "street work" was in progress. Barricades up, etc. This freaking project has been going on now for at least 2 months. It's not some huge project - just an improvement on a street corner. I couldn't help but think how incompetent we can be at some of our infrastructure improvement projects. I don't have any specific details - enough to point a finger - but bottomline is we have these things just languish for months on end.
Good for the Chinese for gettin' it done!

The problem is that they'll cut all sorts of corners and it'll probably be unsafe.
