The new router is cool. I now have 4 different WiFi networks. I may kill some of them, but for now why not. I will put my wife on the first 2.5 GHz network, and I will use the 5 GHz network for my iPhone and the iPad in the garage. I set up a guest network, that has no access at all to my intranet, just the internet.
My WiFi speed is now almost 300 Gig per second, so a huge increase from the old old Apple router. I do have to admit, that Apple router worked perfectly for many years. And it comes with really really long power cord. I have to use an extension cord to get power to the modem and router. They come with little wimpy power cords. I guess that is the new normal.
The new router has one thing I will have to research. It has WPA2-Personal. WPA2 Auto Personal, WPA2-Enterprise and WPA2 Auto Enterprise. Right now I have it on just WPA2 Personal, the default. I may change to the Enterprise version just because it sounds more secure.
