We have a Miele and it does a fine job washing, and it whisper quiet...doesn’t dry worth a damn. If we are still allowed to purchase them, the next dishwasher I buy will have a heating element...when I consider energy efficiency, I include my own effort in hand drying dishes as part of the total energy consumption. I’m happy to use additional electricity to avoid having to hand dry.
