It just takes another couple minutes to yank the axles as yelcab mentions (unless the hardwares is frozen, BTDT). Otherwise, just string up some coat hangers to support them. Unless they are already dirty, it is also helpful to ziptie a plastic grocery bag over the axle ends. Keeps dust and dirt from contaminating the grease in your CV joints.
