Used to see them overhead often and go the the airshow there. I remember hanging out with my pops after the show waiting for the parking to clear, and watching a pair of F14s boogie out, burners disappearing into the sky.
We also got a base tour as cub scouts one year.
Pretty darn cook stuff for a cub scout.
