Thank you Fly Mach.86 for the pics. The Webers I bought from a bug shop 10 years ago are no longer open. In your pics the linkage that comes down from the hex bar makes a connection at the end of your Weber that has a hole on the linkage allowing the butterfly shaft to spin clockwise if viewed from the front of your car.
You see with your setup like mine you could not open your carbs if your linkage from the hexbar had to cross over to the other side of the carb. Mine does not have the little assembly at the end of the carb( a hole) to allow the linkage to connect to.
For some reason these carbs came from the factory Without linkage at the end of the carbs allowing for a linkage assembly to open them from a setup like yours. I’ve transplanted the linkage assembly from my Hpmx carbs which allows me to use my hex bar setup like yours for now. I know it’s difficultto describe it. I’ll take some pics so that you can see my dilemma.
