About 5% of the cars I buy are advertised, the rest is word of mouth. People just know to call me, I'm fair when I buy and I won't blab about their collection. Privacy is very important to most collectors. They don't want a bunch of people coming to their place, eye-balling all the cars, they want to deal with a known Porsche dude with a good reputation.

Chasing classifieds ads is a fool's errand, I know guys who do this, it's very frustrating and they are generally starving for cars.
