Hello and welcome to the forum! Regardless of whether you're buying from a dealer or private party, one of the most important things you can do is to get a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) report done on the car. Make sure to take it to an indy shop that is not associated with the seller to get a fair assessment. This should give you a ton of info that'll sway you to buy or walk.
