The 3rd gen SHO (96-99) jelly beans were truly awful cars. They had a unique V8 again by Yamaha. They also did a good job of eating themselves as the cam timing sprockets were swaged not bolted on to the cam. They cam loose and valves and pistons trying to coexist in time and space with predictable results. They were auto only.

I had a first gen with manual. Great engine unfortunately front drive had epic torque steer.
