At a $150-$175 for an hour, I can screw it up three (3) times at home and still come out ahead...plus I do enjoy the technical stimulation of the hobby.

I love old cars and never had the $$$ to buy the best out there, so had to end up buying people's old hand me downs and make them right over the course of several years.

I think about the cost an Indy would charge on my 928 for a timing belt, water pump and the motor mounts and it would easily exceed my purchase price.
