Great car but can any "object" be worth what these are changing hands for?
- In our current car world, apparently yes!

They are only worth what folks are willing to pay. If I had silly money, probably well into the 9 figures or more range, and was raking it in faster than I could spend it, then there's a very good chance that I would have some of these amazing vintage machines.
It's not that one vehicle is worth $30 million dollars. It's just a collection of bits. It's that there are enough folks with enough money that to purchase one, that's what you've got to pay. A big part of it is that there aren't many left, and even if you found most of one in a barn, to get it back to to this sort of shape would take a fortune. I'm sure there are buyers who never drive them and hide them away surrounded by moth balls which is a shame, but may be the reason why in another 50-100 years, there will still be some around.
