I was going to go the same direction as you with air cleaner "windows" but i,m running Webers and was worried about the carbs backfiring. The only solution I could come up with was to possibly use toughened glass .
In the end i just machined the middle strips out of my K&N cover and added plastic PORSCHE
lettering from Ali Express !
