Remember listening to a book on tape driving from OKC to Atlanta in my 914. The book was Pillars of the Earth by Ken Folleit. About the building of the flying butress cathedrals in England.
It was warm when I left OKC and as I went east it got colder. In Tennessee it was snowing and it was full on winter blizzards in the book. By the time I got to Atlanta it had warmed and it was sping in the book. It was neat having the weather match the book as I travelled.
Took the southern route back to stop off in Dallas and the weather was wet and stormy both on the highway and in the book.
After spending a couple of days in Dallas the book ended just as I made the okc city limits ending the trip and my drive.
Only listened to the book while travelling, It was 18 hours unabridged. It was the first book on tape I listened to driving on a trip. It got me hooked!
Found myself wanting my pit stops to go quicker so I could get back to listening to the book.
