Not cross country, but it was over 1000 miles, no problem. Even with today’s tech and infrastructure, it’s faster and easier than you might think.

Distance driving is no issue with the Supercharging network. Most hotels and many restaurants now offer EV charging so you rarely are doing more than a single longer stop if you're doing a normal road trip.
They're rolling out the V3 superchargers as we speak which put out 250kw with no voltage loss when shared with another Tesla so the difference between a traditional gas stop and recharge are inching closer.
