scavenger hunt
taking the radiator out i broke the connection from the radiator to the expansion tank.
i had been told to leave the hose on the radiator because the nipple is very fragile but getting the hose/clamps to the expansion tank free and clear was difficult.
the threads are metric 12mmx1.75 pipethread and i'm wondering if anyone has ever tried a brass fitting with o'ring/sealing ring that worked and if it did, where you got it.
even metal into plastic can be a little more than figer tight which should compress the sealing mecanism the same as the plastic fitting.
brass would not be as fragile.
