First off, what kind of car and where are the problem areas?

When you say EVERY gasket, hose, etc, you are talking a LOT of time and a good deal of money. (Prices given are for my area, your costs may vary)

Start with the basics:

Timing and balance shaft belts - that job should run you about $300, not including any additional parts

Water hoses - parts should run about $75, an easy do it yourself - same with the vac hoses.

Engine seals - the fronts aren't too bad, you can have them do that when they do the timing belts, a complete front seal job should run about $300 Also, if you are in the engine to this level, you may as well replace the water pump. - add another $150 or so

The price goes up significantly when you have to do rear balance shaft seals, oil cooler and rear engine seals

Gaskets - depending on what one, you are looking at (the head, intake and exhaust gaskets aren't too bad, the oil pan gasket is a real pain)
