I knew there would be a thread on this.
This happens on older Mobileye derived autopilot, it's on Teslas and a bunch of other things that do camera based speed.
Mobileye owned the patent on setting speed limits that way and wanted a fat license for it, so not many current systems that aren't from them work that way. And I bet even their newer stuff might have a double-check, but not sure.
