The superhero movies are direct descendants of superhero comic books (duh) and those comic books were illustrated in artful ways to maximize movement and tension. The 3-point landings are simply extensions of that. Which is ironic. You aren't supposed to have to mimic movement in movies, that's why they are called movies.
Personally, I can't watch 'em for more than ten minutes. I am not able to muster any interest.
